Today’s Word: possessions

This month’s final question: Do you have too many possessions? Recently, my answer to this is always “YES!!!” I think I have always felt this way, but more so after having kids, because things seem to accumulate much more quickly with kids around! A few years ago, I read a book by Dave Bruno, The 100 Thing Challenge. (It’s in Japanese too, https://preview.tinyurl.com/ycqhwzoa)

In the book, Bruno talks about how he got rid of almost everything he owned, and remade his life. The thing that interested me was about hobbies. He said that he had so many hobbies, but he was too busy taking care of the things he needed for those hobbies that he didn’t actually have time to do his hobbies! This was how I felt! Too many hobbies, and too many possessions relating to those hobbies, so too much time wasted caring for my possessions instead of using them. So, now my goal is to have only the things I really need for those hobbies and to borrow or rent anything else that I need.

How about you? Do you have too many possessions?

Bye,

Chris
