☆ assess 評価する
============================
There are two ways to use today’s word. Firstly, the most common use to assess a person, thing, or situation, and consider that thing in order to make a judgement about it. Here are some examples:
He has been assessing the impact of the new laws.
The examination was to assess the student’s logical thinking skills.
The doctors assessed the patient to see if she was well enough to return home.
One more way to use this word is when you assess or estimate the amount of money that something is worth. For example, if your car was stolen, the insurance company would assess the value of the car and pay you the insurance money. Hopefully you won’t ever need to use “assess” in this kind of way!
