☆ diversity 多様性

The diversity of something is the fact that it contains many different elements or things. For example, as I talked about earlier in the month, there is a lot of cultural diversity in Australian society. In other words, Australian society is made up of people from all over the world, and so there is a lot of variety in the culture.
Do you know any other words you could use instead of diversity? I just used one, variety. You can also use difference, range, distinctiveness. Whenever you learn a new word, try to learn words that have a similar meaning. That way even though you may not use all those words when you are speaking or using English, you have a choice of words you could use… I guess you could say, it gives your language a bit of diversity. 😉
