☆ encompass 包み込む
============================
Encompass can be used in two ways. Firstly, if something encompasses particular things, it includes them. For example, “The school will provide new subjects from June, and these will encompass a wide range of special interests.” Or “The musician’s repertoire encompassed everything from Bach to The Beatles!”
The second use is to “encompass a place” which means to completely surround or cover it. For example, “This map shows the western region, encompassing nine prefectures.” Or “The mountainous area encompasses over a million square miles!”
Can you use encompass in a sentence?
