Einstein is quoted as saying, “The only source of knowledge is experience.” Knowledge is the information and understanding about a subject that a person has. In other words, it’s not just information but also understanding.
What do you think about this with regard to English study? I think it’s very true, by studying we gain information, but it is really only through using English and having experiences using English, that we gain real knowledge – not just information. I hope that this mail magazine is helping you build your knowledge of English. That is why sometimes I tell a story, sometimes I give sentence examples. I don’t want to just “teach” English each time, because that is not giving you any experience of English, just information.
Is this mail magazine helping increase your knowledge of English? I hope so!
