☆ young 若々しい
============================
Someone or something that has not lived for very long and is not mature yet is described as “young.” The opposite of “young” is “old” and in my son’s picture book for learning “opposites” it has “young” and “old” as one pair… in the picture there is the “young” child and the “old” mommy. So now whenever we read that book my kids say, “That’s the old mommy, like you!” Hmmmm, that’s not exactly what a mom wants to hear! Ha ha… I think they should have made the picture more obvious so that it was “old” as in the grandparent, rather than the parent!
There are some other opposites for “young”, do you know any? These are the most common ones:
immature
green
junior
youthful
Do you know any others?
Bye,
Chris
