Today’s word is not the same word you are using when you say, “I’m fine thank you, and you?” In that situation, “I’m fine”, you are saying you are well, or good, or healthy. However, today’s word is more delicate than that, and would be used to describe art work for example (which is why it is called “fine art”).

exquisite
magnificent
outstanding
splendid
elegant
delicate
