The “main” thing is the most important one of several similar things in a situation. For example, “The Opera House is one of the main tourist attractions in Sydney.” Recently, there was an article about the “Top Ten Beaches in Australia”. None of the beaches from my hometown were on the list. This surprised me, because our beaches are so beautiful, and I think they are one of the main attractions, because they are so beautiful, not crowded and close to the city. But I guess it’s good news that they aren’t on the list – they will stay beautiful and not crowded for longer!
By the way, where do you live? What is the main tourist attraction there? Is it a temple or shopping area? A hot spring? What would be the main reason someone should visit there?
