☆ victory   勝利
============================
I’m sure you know what “victory” means (it means “success” in a struggle, war, or competition) but have you heard of the phrase, “moral victory”?
A “moral victory” is when you may have lost the actual contest or dispute, you have succeeded in showing that you were right about something. A lot of people will say that a “moral victory” is still a loss – especially in sport. For example, if the winning team cheated and won, then the losing team might say they had a moral victory because they didn’t cheat, but in the end, the score shows that the other team won, so as time passes people will only remember the victory not the fact that it was a dishonest win.
Is there such an idea in Japan as “moral victory”?
Bye,
