This is a formal word to describe someone who is very good at something. It is commonly used to describe authors, painters, and musicians. For example;
She is an accomplished painter and many of her works hang in art galleries around the country.
He was one of the most accomplished composers of the last century.
You don’t need to describe what they are accomplished at, for example, “she is very accomplished.” So, in this case, be careful not to confuse this word with the past tense of the verb “accomplish”. In that case the sentence would be, “she has accomplished many things.” Today’s word is an adjective, so the context and grammar will help you determine the meaning.
