☆ serious  まじめな
============================
So carrying on from yesterday’s theme of not using “very”, when I checked my dictionary for the definition of “serious”, it said “very bad”. Ha ha! So, don’t use “very bad”, use “serious!”
There are a few ways to use “serious”:
A problem or situation is serious if people are worried or afraid about it. For example, “a serious illness.”
A serious matter is an important matter that needs careful consideration. For example, “It is time to get down to the serious business of today’s meeting.”
Someone who is serious is thoughtful and quiet, and don’t usually make jokes. For example, “she is a rather serious girl.”
Bye,
Chris
