☆ uncertain  ためらっている
============================
When you are uncertain about something you are unsure. This is one of those adjectives that changes to the negative easily by just adding “un”, so you are either “certain” or “uncertain”, “sure” or “unsure.”
We also have a common idiom in English, “in no uncertain terms” and when you tell someone something “in no uncertain terms” you say it strongly and make it clear that there is no doubt about the meaning.
She told him in no uncertain terms to go away.
He told her in no uncertain terms to stop calling him.
My boss told me in no uncertain terms that lateness would not be tolerated.
