☆ valiant  勇気のある
============================
Valiant is usually used to describe actions for example, a valiant effort or a valiant attempt. The nuance is that it is a brave action even though the result might be failure.
He made a valiant attempt to keep his business going in the bad economy.
Despite her valiant efforts, there was no way to save the injured animal.
It is not a commonly used word. More often you’ll hear people use “brave” or “bold” or “fearless”. However, in writing, and in formal conversations, “valiant” is a great word to use!
