☆ rely on ~を頼る
============================
A good way to learn today’s word would be to think about examples of things you could “rely on”. As you can see, this word can’t be used alone; you need to rely on “something” or “someone.” So, in order to learn the word, you could create sentence of different things you rely on.
Or instead of just doing sentences, or making a Mind Map, you could make it more fun and personal, by brainstorming situations where you need to or have needed to rely on others and what happened. The more personalized your learning is, the more likely it is to stick in your memory. So here are a few examples from me, remember to take time to add your own!
I rely on my iPhone alarm to wake me up in the morning!
I know I can rely on my neighbor to drive me to our running events.
Now that we live in Australia, I rely on my husband to cook good Japanese food!
To be honest, I don’t really like relying on other people too much.
Alright, those are my examples, what are yours? Try to make them personal to your situation!
See you next month!
