Today’s word is another word that can be used as a verb or a noun. Today we are learning it in the noun form. Let’s look at the differences:
Used as a Noun
An answer is something that you say to someone when they ask you a question.
The teacher asked me a question, but I didn’t know the answer.
“Is anybody there?” I called, but there was no answer.
I left without waiting for his answer.

As you can see, “answer” is similar to “response” here.
Also, you can say that something is an “answer to” something, meaning it is the solution to the problem.
The book seemed to hold the answer to all my problems!
I’m sure a new job is the answer to your problem.
In this case, don’t use “for”, not “answer for”. You can only use “answer to” when you use it like this.
Used as a Verb
When you “answer” someone, you “respond” to them.
Please answer me!
I tried my best to answer the questions.
I don’t plan to answer her question.
Bye,
Chris
