A fun way to learn and remember new words is to find quotes that use that word. Sometimes you’ll find the inspiring saying in each week of the Eigo Techo might use the word, but if not a quick Google search will help you find some. Here are some I found using today’s word:
“If there is no struggle, there is no progress.” Frederick Douglass.
“Strength and growth come only through continuous effort and struggle.” Napoleon Hill
“When there is no struggle, there is no strength.” Oprah Winfrey
And one from Abraham Lincoln, “The probability that we may fail in the struggle ought not to deter us from the support of a cause we believe to be just.”
In each of these quotes, the word “struggle” is a noun, but of course, you might find some where it is used as a verb. So, do you know any other quotes about struggle?
