☆ conflict  対立
============================
In everyday usage, “conflict” means a serious disagreement or argument about something important. Two people or groups that are in conflict, have not reached an agreement about something. For example:
The employees are in conflict with management over the merger.
The customer and the waiter came into conflict.
Try to keep the conflict between you and your ex-husband to a minimum.
In written English, or in journalism, conflict is used to describe fighting between countries or groups of people. For example:
The countries are trying to end the four decades of conflict.
The government is discussing how to prevent a military conflict.
How about in Japanese, is the same word used in journalism and everyday language? Or is it a different word?
Bye,
Chris
