☆ conscious  意識的な
============================
When you are conscious of something, you are giving it your full attention, or you are taking deliberate or well-thought-out action. For example we often talk about “making a conscious decision” or “making a conscious effort”, in other words the person is pay attention and really thinking about the decision they are making, or they are putting their full attention on that effort.
Another way we use this word is to combine it with other words, to form adjectives to describe someone who thinks that part of life is important. So someone who is “health-conscious” believes that health is very important. A few others are:
Fashion-conscious – cares about fashion
Politically-conscious – is very aware about the political situation
Environmentally-conscious – cares about the environmental situation
Do you know any others?
Bye,
Chris
