☆ insist  主張する
============================
If you insist that something should be done you say it firmly and refuse to give in. If you insist that something is true you say it firmly and refuse to change your mind even if people disagree with you or don’t believe you. Here are some examples:
She insisted on being present at the meeting.
I didn’t want to go but my mother insisted.
The teacher insists that it’s not that difficult.
The man insisted on his innocence.
One thing to remember is that you use the form, “insist on doing” something, not “insist to do” something. For example:
He always insists on paying for dinner. (OK)
He always insists to pay for dinner. (Not correct)
She insisted on driving me to work. (OK)
She insisted to drive me to work. (Not correct)
Bye,
Chris
