I’m sure you already know this word, in terms of “entertainment” and TV, actors and entertaining people. However, today’s word is a more formal use. It is used when you entertain an idea of suggestion – and then you consider it as possible or something worth thinking about.
Here are some examples:
I feel foolish to entertain doubts, but I just can’t stop thinking that something is not right.
How can you even entertain such an idea?
It’s a little hard to use, as it is a very formal word, but can you create a sentence using it?
