What image do you get when you hear this word? Positive?
Negative? I’ve always thought it was kind of negative… so I was
very surprised many years ago when I was in London, to find a
restaurant called “Wagamama”. It opened in 1992 and they are now
one of the most popular noodle chain restaurants around the world.

They now have restaurants in many countries around the world… which is
interesting, because I have eaten in the one in London, and it was expensive
and not very tasty at all!! I guess it’s for people who have never eaten really
yummy ramen in Japan. Or maybe I’m just being selfish?! 😉

私は、この言葉に対してはネガティブなイメージを持っていました…なので、数年前にロンドンで“Wagamama”というレストランを目にした時にはとても驚きました！
1992年にオープンし、世界でも有数のチェーンのラーメン店なのです。

“Wagamama”は、今世界中にあります。
ロンドンで食べた時には、とても高くて、味はそれほどでもなかったのに、面白いですね！
きっと、日本の本当においしいラーメンを食べたことがない人向けなのでしょう。
それとも、私の意見がわがままなのかな？;)
