Do you know today’s word? If it’s a new word for you, you can
help yourself remember it, by brainstorming other words that
have similar meanings. Then create a word list, or a Mind Map,
of those words. If you were making a Mind Map, “Significant”
would be in the center. Then on the branches, you could have
other words that have the same or similar meanings. On sub-branches
you could put the Japanese translation if you want. Or, even better,
draw a picture! It might be difficult for this kind of abstract word
though. You could also have a sub-branch with a sentence using the word.

Momentous

もし初めて聞く単語だったら、同じような意味を持つ他の単語をブレインストーミングすると覚えやすくなります。
そしてそれらの単語のリストやマインドマップを作ります。
マインドマップは、“Significant”を中央に書き、そこから延びる枝には、同じような意味を持つ単語を書くのです。
さらに小さい枝に、日本語訳を書いても良いでしょう。
もっと良いのは、絵を描くことです！
しかしこのような抽象的な単語は、難しいかもしれませんね。
