☆ report 報告

============================

The word report can be used in many different ways. Here
are the three main ways to use it as a noun.
1. A news article or TV program which gives people information
about something that has just happened.
This could be an article in a newspaper, or TV news show.
It could also be a “press report” letting us know about something
very important that we need to be told about immediately.

2. An official document written by someone or some group after
investigating a situation or event. For example, “a report by the
university showed that 25% of graduates could not find
work within a year of graduating.”

3. If you give someone a report on something, you tell them
about what has happened. For example, “She gave me a report
of what had happened in the meeting that I missed.” Or even
in a less formal situation, “he gave me a report on what had
happened in the soccer game while I was in the toilet.”
