We use “exact” when we want to say that something is correct
in every detail. Here are some examples:
I don’t remember his exact words.
The exact number of people in the protest is not known.
This is an exact copy of my passport.
You can also describe a person as “exact” and it means that
they are very careful and detailed in their work. In other
words, they are “meticulous”.

また、人を指して“exact”と表現することもあります。
これは、仕事で、細かく注意深い人のことです。
つまりは“meticulous(=細部まで行き届き、極めて注意深い)”ということですね。
