This week’s useful phrase includes today’s word:
“Have you ever thought about why we exist?” Now
of course, this is a pretty deep question, so you
probably shouldn’t ask it to a stranger on the train!
However, if you are talking with a close friend, this is
a good conversation starter!

Do you know any other good conversation starters?
It’s a good idea to prepare a short list of questions
you can use in particular situations to start a conversation.
If you have a list prepared then you’ll always be able to
talk with a foreigner when the chance comes. Remember
to include some questions that are good for situations when
you have just met, or don’t know the person!
