Have you ever been insulted by someone? What happened?
Did they say or do something that upset you or was it something
that they did?

Here are some other words you can use instead of “insult”, these
words are more like slang, though, so you’ll hear them used in
spoken English, but you probably won’t see them written anywhere
unless you are reading English fiction.

Put down
Snub
Slight
Take the mickey out of someone
Tear into pieces
Take the piss
