Do you know how to say today’s word? English is so strange sometimes…In
this word, the “ba” sound is pronounced like “be” and the “se” sound is pronounced
like “su”…The phonetics base of the Japanese language is wonderful I think!
In Japanese, if you can read a word you can say it – which is not always true
for English words, right.

One other word that is pronounced the same as this word is bass, as in “bass
guitar”. However, whenever I see this word, “bass” I really want to pronounce it
as a “ba” sound not a “be” sound. I’m a native speaker and I still find some
words strange and hard to pronounce! How about you – are there any words
in English that sound strange or are hard for you to pronounce? What are
they?

この言葉の場合、“ba”は“ベ”と、“se”は“ス”と発音します。
