I think I might be a “lecture-junkie”! ha ha… I love attending lectures and
learning new things. In Tokyo it used to be hard to find lectures in English,
but there are more and more now, so this is great!

When we talk about passions, and loving something we often use the word
“junkie” with it. Although when talking about drugs this word has a negative
nuance, if you are talking about how much you love something then it is a
positive nuance.

I’m a lecture-junkie… how about you? Are you passionate about something
enough to call yourself a junkie?

私は、もしかしたら“講演マニア”かもしれません。
ハハハ…！講演に行き、新しいことを学ぶのが大好きだからです。
東京では英語の講演をみつけるのが難しかったのですが、ここ（オーストラリア）ではたくさんあるので、最高です！

情熱や大好きなことについて語る時には“junkie”という言葉をよく使います。
薬物などに関してはこの言葉はネガティブなニュアンス(中毒者という意味)になりますが、大好きなことに対してはポジティブなニュアンスを持ちます。

私は、講演ジャンキーですが…あなたは？
何かの“junkie”と言える程情熱を持っているものはありますか？
