When we talk about maturity we mean the quality of being fully developed
in their personality and emotional behavior. So teenagers who are in the
process of maturing and becoming adults often do not show this “maturity”.
Most teenagers still lack confidence and maturity during these years. Here
are some example sentences:

She worried about the maturity of her boyfriend after he lost another job.
He shows a maturity greater than his years.

By the way, the opposite of showing “maturity” is to be immature.
