Today’s word is used to describe beliefs about what is right or wrong. In
Western culture, because of our Christian history and culture, it is often
the Bible and church that decide if something is moral or not. This is true
even if the person is not a Christian.

In Japanese society, how is it decided if something is moral or not? Is there
a set of beliefs that everyone knows or learns about, that determine what
society believes is right or wrong?
