When I was traveling in New York, I went to see a musical on
Broadway. In my guidebook, it said you could get good, cheap
tickets by buying a “standing-room only” ticket, and then
waiting for a cancellation, and getting an upgrade…

I don’t remember how much money I paid, but I do remember
that we got great seats for a great price. This was about ten years
ago… I wonder if they still do this?

Do you ever go to see musicals? Have you ever had a travel
experience that really made an impression on you?

ニューヨークを旅行した時に、ブロードウエイのミュージカルを観に行きました。
ガイドブックに、立見席限定のチケットを買ってキャンセル待ちをし、アップグレードすると、安くて良いチケットが取れると書いてありました。

いくら払ったかは覚えていませんが、かなり良い席で見ることが出来たのは覚えています！
これは10年くらい前の話ですが、まだこのシステムがあるのでしょうか？
