If you find a word that is difficult to remember, or difficult to say,
you should try to find an alternative word that you can use. Do you
know any other words that you can use instead of “exhibition”?

Presentation
Show

Depending on the situation, some of these may not be usuable, but
you can always use, “show”. For example, “I’m going to the art exhibition
on the weekend.” You can also say, “I’m going to the art show on the
weekend.”
