☆ fiance/fiancee　婚約者　（男性／女性）

Once again we have a word that is different depending
on whether you are referring to a man (fiance) or a woman (fiancee).
Luckily though, the pronunciation is the same! Only the spelling is
different. Phew!

I learned French in high school and it was a nightmare trying to
remember which word was male and which was female. I’m so glad
English doesn’t have this male and female word system! I wouldn’t
want to try to teach such a language!

Have you ever learned any language other than English? What language?
Was it easier or more difficult than learning English?

今日の単語も、男性の場合（fiance（婚約者））と、女性の場合（fiancee（婚約者））で、異なる単語を持っています。
ただ、運良く、発音は同じです！
違うのはスペルだけです。フ～！

私が高校生の時のフランス語の勉強で、どれが男性用の単語でどれが女性用なのかを覚えるのは悪夢のようでした。
英語にこんな男性と女性の単語システムがなくて本当によかった！
そんな言語は教えたくないです！
