How do you stay fit? Do you go for a yearly health
check up?

In Japanese, there is a word, “Ningen doc” right? I
always thought this word was “doc” as in “doctor”. In
other words, I thought it meant something like, “go to
the people’s doctor”.

However, it is actually, “dock” right? So, what does
this mean? I’ve looked on the net, and can’t find a
good explanation of why it is called, “ningen dock”…
Do you know why? Please help me!

日本語でいうと「人間ドック」という言葉がありますよね?
私はずっと、この「ドック」は医者（doctor・doc）のことだと思っていました。
つまり、「人間用の医者に行く」という意味だと考えていたんです。

でもこれは、実は「dock」ですよね？
この意味は何でしょうか?
ネットで調べてみました、「人間ドック」という単語になった理由は見つかりません。
何故だかお分かりでしょうか?
