English speakers tend to use the word, “love”
a lot more freely than Japanese. We often say,
“I love you” to our family, and even our
close friends.

Some people say that by saying, “I love
you” too often, it dilutes it. However,
I believe that if people said it even
more often, then the world would be a
happier place.

英語を話す人々は、日本の人よりも｢愛する｣と言う言葉をかなり自由に使います。
家族や親しい友達にも、よく「愛してる」と言います。

あまり「愛してる」と言い過ぎれば、言葉の意味が薄くなる、という人もいるでしょう。
でも私はこう思うんです。みんながもっともっと「愛している」と言えば、世界はもっと幸せな場所になる、と。
