In romantic movies, the girl (and very rarely
the boy) is often waiting for the boy to call,
right? So if you watch these kinds of movies,
you’ve probably heard many phrases using
“call”. Here are some of them:

Why didn’t you call?

I was waiting for your call.

Do you think I should call him?

You can call me at this number.

And although it’s not a romantic movie, there
is also the famous line from Ghostbusters:
Who you gonna call? (But beware, this is
terrible grammar! Correct grammar would be
“Who are you going to call?”)

ロマンチックな映画では多くの場合、女性が(まれに男性が)男性からの電話を待っていますよね。
この手の映画を見たなら、いろいろなシーンで｢電話する｣を使ったフレーズを聞いているはずです。

例えば、

何で電話しなかったの？

電話してくれるのを待っていたのよ。

彼に電話した方がいいと思う？

そして、これはロマンチックな映画ではないのですが、
「ゴーストバスターズ」の有名なセリフがあります。

だれに電話するのかな？

（でも、気をつけてください！「Who you gonna call?」
は大変失礼な文法です。正しいのは
「Who are you going to call?」ですね）
