A base is like your starting point; your place to start building from. So, if you wanted to lose weight, you might set up some habits as your base to start from. If you have these habits as your base, then whenever you get off track – for example, if you’ve been away on holiday and eaten too much! – then you case use these as your base, to get back on track.
