☆  up-front  素直に

If you are up-front about something, you act or speak openly, so that people know what you are doing and what you believe. This is an informal word, and the more formal options are words like: direct, frank, honest, straightforward.

Do you think an up-front attitude or character is important in a person? In western culture, being up-front is generally a positive characteristic because people know what that you are being honest. However, sometimes if you are too honest or too up-front, it is easy to offend people. I think being open and up-front is important, so long as you can do it while still being kind. What do you think?
