Two more days till Christmas! My kids already have big expectations about what presents they will get! It’s hard to set a limit on presents, so I follow a clever little poem as a guideline on what to buy. It goes like this:

Something they want.
Something they need.
Something to wear.
Something to read.

My kids know we follow this guide, so hopefully their expectations are not too great! I really like this idea though, because it cuts down on spending, and hopefully with less “stuff” they will have more appreciation and gratitude for the things they do receive…. I hope so!!
