You might have heard this word used in its most common way, such as to unlock a door or a room: You use the key and unlock the door. However, another meaning of this word is to unlock the potential (or secrets) of something or someone, meaning that you release them. For example:

Regular training will unlock his potential at soccer.
That scientist dedicated his life to unlocking the secrets of the universe!

Have you ever thought about the best way to unlock your potential in English? I believe that everyone is capable of speaking more than one language, but we need to find the best way to unlock our potential. For some it might be living in that country for a while, for others it might be watching movies over and over. For me, learning Japanese it was actually a combination of finding a great teacher who loved Japan, the Japanese language and who believed in my potential too. What would unlock your English potential??
