Now, usually we’d use this word to talk about people, for example, with the useful phrase this week, “You’ve been really helpful.” However, you can also use it to talk about things, too. So kitchen gadgets that help you prepare or cook more easily are helpful. Systems that help work go more smoothly or according to plan are very helpful too.

You want to know what I find most helpful these days? It is a Google Chrome extension called “Simple Blocker” … why? Because it is so helpful when I want to focus on work, not social media! A lot of my work involves research so I need to use the Internet, but suddenly, “accidentally” instead of research, I’m looking at Facebook… oh no! So Simple Blocker is very helpful as it allows me to block Facebook and other social media for a length of time while I work. Phew! It’s very helpful and I’m very grateful to the developer!!
