Hiking! Now this is a hobby that I can understand (much easier to understand for me than knitting! Ha ha) Lots of people go hiking in Japan, right? It seems like a popular hobby, in particular with older people – I guess because they have more time after retiring?

I love hiking, but in my hometown, there aren’t many hiking spots – it’s more like walking trails through the hills, there’s no need for any special hiking gear really.

Do you like hiking? If so, what is your favorite hiking spot? Why? What do you love about it? And if you don’t like hiking, why not?
