Today’s Word: intelligence test

============================

I love the quote for this week. “The best intelligence test is what we do with our leisure.” This is by Laurence J. Peter, a Canadian educator (1919 – 1990). What does this mean to you? To me, it means that since we have to work to get money, the most important thing to our overall happiness is what we do when we don’t have to work – in other words, what we do with our leisure time.

To be honest, often when I have free time, I spend it looking at Facebook and Instagram. I’d actually rather be reading a book, playing with my kids, or even walking the dogs, but I get stuck wasting my leisure time, rather than making the most of it. I think Laurence J. Peter would say that I have failed his intelligence test! I guess I agree! I will try to be more intelligent in the future!

How about you? Would you pass or fail Peter’s intelligence test?

Bye,

Chris
