A lot of people play video games as a hobby, right? In the past, these games were only one-way, and not interactive at all. If you invited your friend over to your house, you could play together, but that was the limit.

Nowadays, you can play interactive games with people over the internet, and you may not even know who the other people are, right? Is this common in Japan? In Australia, teenagers tend to play with their friends online, but it is possible to play with complete strangers… I’m not sure how I feel about this! I don’t think I want my kids playing video games with strangers – I think I’d rather they played basic games on their own, not interactive ones that require being online with people you might not know.

What do you think? Do you (or your kids) play these kinds of interactive games?

Bye,

Chris
