This month’s topic is “Entertainment and Leisure”… and I hope you’ll find a lot of “useful” words in our daily word section. What kinds of words are useful? For me, I believe that the most useful English words are the words that you actually use!

The school system in Japan tends to make people study lists of words that they won’t need or use except when they take an exam… is that useful? Not really! Useful words would be ones that you use when you want to talk about yourself, or your work, or whatever you need to talk about in English. Not just a random list of words, but a list of words that you will use – so when you are looking through the daily words, choose which ones are really useful to you, and focus on those.
