When we add “ly” to an adjective, it turns it into an adverb, right? As an adjective, “constant” means that something is continual, happening all the time, or always there. By adding “ly” to form an adverb, it becomes a word that you can use to express how often something happens: e.g. once, twice, every month, rarely, or as in today’s word, constantly.
