☆ delight　　大喜び

“Delight” is the feeling of great pleasure and joy. For example, “The house has a view of the sea which is a constant source of delight.” Or “To her great delight, the surprise birthday party for her husband went perfectly.”
This is totally a different use of the word “delight” but there is a candy called, “Turkish Delight”. It is a kind of jelly sweet that is covered with chocolate and powdered sugar. If “delight” means great joy, then you would expect to enjoy eating this sweet, but to me it’s disgusting! Every time I try it I imagine I’ll like it because of the name, but I never do!! Have you ever heard of it or tried it?
