You probably often hear “nature” used to mean plants, trees, animals, bird, and other things that are not made by people. However another common use of the word “nature” is the meaning to talk about someone’s character. We say that people who their nature through the way they behave. Here are some examples:
She has a very ambitious nature.
He was by nature very kind.
She trusted everyone. That was her nature.
There is also a common term, “second nature” which means that you can do something almost without thinking about it because it is easy for you. For example:
Riding a bicycle becomes second nature to kids quite quickly.
Keep studying and eventually English will be like second nature to you!
