☆ desirable 好ましい
============================
There are two ways to use this word. Firstly to describe someTHING, and secondly to describe someONE. When you use it to describe something you mean that it is worth having or doing because it is useful, necessary, or popular. For example:
When the doors opened for the sale, everyone rushed to the most desirable items.
The café owner wondered if it would be desirable to ban smoking or not.
On the other hand, when you describe someone as desirable, you are actually referring to their sexual attractiveness! So be careful. Depending on the situation, it might not be a good idea to describe someone as desirable! A couple of examples:
He was a very desirable man.
Her cool personality actually made her more desirable to him.
