☆ weep しくしく泣く
============================
There are many different words to describe ways of crying… I hope that’s not because everyone is so sad that we need lots of words!! So let’s look at different ways to talking about crying:
weep – She wept quietly at the funeral.
cry – Please don’t cry.
blubber – Her mother started to blubber like a child. (Cry noisily and in an unattractive way.)
shed tears – I didn’t shed a single tear when I heard the news.
snivel – The little boy started sniveling. (cry or sniff in an annoying way.)
sob – She began sobbing into her handkerchief. (cry in a noisy way, and have difficulty breathing.)
whimper – He was whimpering in pain. (Making quiet unhappy sounds as if they are about to cry.)
Do you know any others?
Bye,
Chris
